Summary:Aqueous samples are filtered then passed through a cadmium-copper reduction column prior to analysis.
Scope:This method describes procedures for the determination of nitrate/nitrite-nitrogen, or oxidized nitrogen, in drinking, ground, and surface water; domestic and industrial waste; and biosolids (municipal sewage sludge). Manual colorimetry is used to determine the nitrate/nitrite-N concentration.
